TLDR
- Percentage compensation (with some dilution rules) but with a minimum guaranteed salary for stability
When are bonuses given out?
- Bonuses are given out after being calculated at the end of every month
General Information
- Every employee is assigned a percentage of a game’s revenue
- Generally, assigned percentages reflect the employee’s salary based on the game’s current revenue
- Example
- Game currently averages 100,000/month in revenue
- Employee’s salary is 10,000/month
- Generally, assigned percentage would be 10%
- If the assigned percentage makes more than their monthly salary, the difference will be given in the form of a bonus
Dilution
- If the total percentages for all employees exceeds 50%, all percentages will start being evenly diluted to accomodate the excess
- Contractor payments will be factored in as a psuedo employee with a fixed percentage based on the spend for the month
- Example
- Game makes 100,000 for the month
- Contractor payments total 5,000 for the month
- Contractor payments would be factored in as a psuedo employee taking up a fixed 5% for dilution purposes
